Growing up as one of 10 siblings, I felt invisible.
Diary of a Founder #45
In such a big family, I was lost in the noise.
No one pushed me to dream or tell that I could achieve something great. Over time, I started to believe I wasn’t capable of much.
That mindset stayed with me for years. I kept waiting for the ‘right time’ or for someone to tell me I was good enough. But here’s the truth: waiting doesn’t change anything. You stay stuck.
Then came moments of realization where I thought, ‘Is this really it? Is this all I’m capable of?’ And to be honest, it scared me.
I realized the only way out of this cycle was to stop waiting for someone else to save me.
That’s when I realized—if I wanted to change my life, I had to stop waiting for someone to save me.
So, I got the chance to go to England and study law. I earned my LLB, became a barrister, worked in incredible firms and practice law for 10 years.
But even then, I felt something was missing—I wanted to build something of my own.
That’s how InZone was born. Starting my own company wasn’t just about building a business, it was about helping others take the leap I once hesitated to take.
Today, I have the privilege of supporting entrepreneurs as they step into their journeys. It’s the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done.
Looking back, I realize procrastination wasn’t the enemy, fear was. But once I decided to take that first step, everything started to change.
If you’re waiting for the ‘right time’, let me tell you this: it doesn’t exist. Start messy. Start scared. Just start.
okay?
