Dealing with Uncertainty…
Insight #40
Living with uncertainty isn’t easy—it’s something I’ve always struggled with.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been afraid of the unknown.
The question of “What’s coming next?” has always been there.
And truthfully? It still is.
I used to think I could control the future, or at least avoid uncertainty altogether.
But here’s the hard truth:
You can’t. None of us can.
What I’ve learned is this: The key isn’t in controlling everything—it’s in making peace with the fact that things won’t always go as planned.
A very real example for me and my family has been dealing with our 11-month-old son’s brain development issues.
It’s been one of the most uncertain journeys we’ve ever faced, and there are still no clear answers.
It’s tough.
But slowly, I’ve realized that being okay with not knowing is a skill we all need to develop.
When you stop chasing certainty, life can feel a little lighter—and you realize you don’t need to have everything figured out.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by what’s ahead, you’re not alone.
None of us know what the future holds—but we can still show up and do our best.
